"The End Crowns The Work" encourages students to strive for excellence.<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br><br>Reporting to the Principal, the Business and Operations Manager is an executive leader supporting the Principal and is responsible for overseeing the non-educational school operations including financial management, administration and property and facilities management.<br><br>This role ensures that the school's operations are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant regulations. Over 51% of results were Band 5 or 6, and our students achieved 2,819 Distinguished Achiever mentions.<br><br>Be part of a system that fosters academic, creative and vocational success, shaping future leaders every step of the way.<br><br>In addition, we offer:</p><ul><li>competitive salary based on enrolment band</li><li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li><li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li><li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li><li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will perform tasks that include, but not limited to:</p><ul><li>overseeing and coordinating the school's scheduled and unscheduled repair and maintenance program, to support effective and safe operations of school buildings and facilities</li><li>providing on site coordination and support for the planning and delivery of capital works programs and deployment of Master Plans</li><li>managing on-site contractors including site access and induction and ensuring tasks are completed as per school and SCS requirements</li><li>planning for the future needs of the school by developing business cases, maintaining the Master Plan to support future growth</li><li>collaborating with the Finance and Property team by fulfilling all required responsibilities outlined in policy and/or as directed by the Director and other leaders in the team</li><li>managing and reporting on the school's financial activities in alignment with the Principal and SCS procedures, ensuring that all financial activities are conducted professionally and comply with financial delegations and relevant legislation</li><li>monitoring, managing and providing regular insights relating to the school's financial performance and identifying solutions to reduce costs and improve outcomes</li><li>overseeing the administration of insurance claims</li><li>managing the school's fee management and debt recovery strategies and process in line with SCS' policies, procedures and values</li><li>identifying and implementing opportunities that maximise school enrolment and income</li><li>ensuring Work Health and Safety (WHS) systems and requirements are followed to mitigate risks, comply with legislation and ensure a safe environment</li><li>implementing and monitoring adherence to WHS systems for all persons onsite</li><li>coordinating and actively participating in the school's WHS Committee</li><li>addressing and managing WHS incidents in accordance with legislative requirements and SCS policies</li><li>providing operational support for school events</li><li>managing site security operations including access to CCTV footage, operation of alarms and access to keys and access cards</li><li>collaborating with primary schools within their network including establishing commercial connections such as multi-school tenders, debt collection, shared resources and providing guidance where needed</li><li>managing Maintenance and Support Staff, including organising absentee covers and staff performance reviews</li><li>manage the College Bell and PA System (Q-SYS UCI)</li><li>any other duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>tertiary qualifications (at Certificate Level or higher) in Business, Project Management or other relevant field</li><li>demonstrated experience in a similar role including Business Manager or Operations Manager with responsibilities in financial management, procurement, facilities management or executive administration</li><li>demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a team to achieve quality business outcomes</li><li>strong understanding of financial management, budgeting and debt collection.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong><br><br>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
