<p>St Mary’s School in Geelong is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and passionate educator to fulfil the role of F-2 Learning Leader and Enhancement Teacher. This is a fixed term position for 2025, with the possibility of further employment. The position is .8 or 1.00 FTE (Negotiable)</p><p><strong>Due to the timing of this appointment, the successful candidate&#39;s start date is to be negotiated with relevant stakeholders. </strong></p><p>St Mary’s School has an embedded evidence-informed, explicit instruction approach that is delivered within a coherent, knowledge-rich learning and teaching program. </p><p><strong>The successful applicant will be:</strong></p><ul><li>a calm and collaborative school leader who has the capacity to nurture the strong community bond between staff, students and families</li><li>knowledgeable, aligned and experienced in implementing the MACS Vision for Instruction Position Statement</li><li>able to deliver and support aligned, high quality, evidence-informed learning and teaching practices from Foundation to Year 2</li><li>able to collaborate effectively within the Learning and Teaching Team, with the  Learning Diversity Leader and teachers to identify students requiring Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention.</li><li>an approachable, visible and collaborative leader who demonstrates understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of staff, students and their families</li></ul><p><strong>The successful applicant will have:</strong></p><ul><li>evidence of leading and modelling instructional leadership through exemplary curriculum knowledge</li><li>evidence of teaching experience using evidence based, explicit instruction programs</li><li>a deep understanding and passion for improving student outcomes</li><li>communication and interpersonal skills with the aptitude to build and nurture relationships and engage staff, students and their families</li><li>have the ability to foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and high expectations across the school </li><li>experience in developing and maintaining timetables for Learning Support Officers and teachers, ensuring appropriate scheduling and resource allocation.</li><li>ability to work collaboratively with teachers to identify specific, measurable goals aimed at improving individual and small group instruction, content knowledge, and behaviour management strategies.</li><li>proficiency in using data to assess, monitor, and track student performance, applying insights to inform and refine intervention programs.</li><li>experience in modelling, co-teaching, observing, and providing timely and constructive feedback to foster best practices in teaching and learning.</li></ul><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>a strong commitment to Catholic education and the ethos of Catholic schools</li><li>accreditation to teach Religious Education</li><li>full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching</li><li>the appropriate qualifications</li></ul><p>St Mary&#39;s School promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.
