Junior Payroll Support Officer

In 2025, the newly named Saints Education, is seeking a Junior Payroll Support Officer to join their school community.

Our approach is grounded in the Operation by Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices. </p><p><strong>The Role:</strong> </p><p>The Junior Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation. The incumbent will prepare and distribute employee salaries and maintain and update employee payroll records under close supervision from the Payroll supervisor, ensuring all information is accurate and current while addressing payroll related queries in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA). </p><p>Working within a supportive, positive and collaborative team, this role will be suited to someone who has 1-2 years exposure to payroll and is looking to further develop in their career. </p><p>You will be employed an ongoing full-time Education Support Employee, commencing in Term 2 2025, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022. </p><p><strong>You will need: </strong> </p><ul><li>Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty. </li><li>1-2 Years’ experience in a similar role. </li><li>Proven experience in payroll processing or a related field. </li><li>Great attention to detail, organisational and time-management skills. </li><li>Collaborative team player with the ability to build quality working relationships. </li><li>The ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively, especially during payroll cycles. </li><li>A commitment to ongoing professional learning for self to enable further development of skills and expertise. </li><li>Resilient with a high level of emotional intelligence. </li><li>Hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain, and a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months), or hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. </li><li>Hold appropriate Australian Work Rights. </li><li>Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive school vehicles when required. </li></ul><p>Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People are encouraged to apply, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity. </p><p><strong>To Apply:</strong> </p><p>Please visit our website, learn about our work, and review the position information in Employment Opportunities at www.saints.vic.edu.au/careers. </p><p>Applications must be submitted using the <strong>Apply Now</strong> function on our careers page and must include: </p><ul><li>A letter of introduction and a one-page response to the duties and responsibilities listed in the position description and how you would meet them; </li><li>A current curriculum vitae outlining previous experience and skills; </li><li>Two referees (including contact details).
