Hills is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic applicant to undertake the role of Inclusive Education SSO in Upper Primary/Middle School.

<p><strong>INTRODUCTION</strong></p><ul><li>Contract position until the end of 2025 (term time only)</li><li>1:1 student support - Upper Primary/Middle School</li><li>6.25 hours one day per week with the potential to increase</li><li>Grade 2 General Staff (HILLS Enterprise Agreement 2024)</li><li>Remuneration: $10,167 - $10,612 (FTE $73,205 - $76,404)</li></ul><p><strong>ROLE PURPOSE</strong></p><p>Hills is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic applicant to undertake the role of Inclusive Education SSO. As the successful applicant, you will bring a collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic approach to working with students and educators. Support Educators are required to work closely with classroom educators, parents and leadership as a part of a team to achieve individual outcomes for each student.</p><p>The successful candidate will support students with complex learning profiles to access the curriculum through the effective, appropriate, and rigorous curriculum programs implemented by our classroom educators. They will <i><strong>provide specialist support and assistance, </strong></i>under the guidance of the relevant Inclusive Education Leader, for a range of neurodiverse students with complex learning profiles.</p><p><strong>PREREQUISITES</strong></p><p>These qualifications/certificates are required prior to commencing employment at HILLS and must be updated for the duration of employments at HILLS:-</p><ul><li>Current Working with Children Check</li><li>Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse &amp; Neglect Certificate (RRHAN-EC)</li><li>Current First Aid Certificate</li><li>Current Driver’s Licence</li><li>Successful completion or working towards a Certificate II or III in Education Support and/or Disability (or equivalent) would be an advantage.</li></ul><p>Staff members of The Hills Christian Community School Inc. are expected to uphold and demonstrate personal qualities and behaviours which are consistent with the School’s statement of Aims and Objectives and its Statement of Belief.</p>
