Position: VET Hospitality & Food Technology Assistant - Christian Education. Fixed-Term Part-Time | 25 hours per week (during school terms) There is an option to split the role. We are seeking a dedicated VET Hospitality & Food Technology Assistant to join us in a part-time, fixed-term capacity.

<p><strong>Position Vacant: VET Hospitality &amp; Food Technology Assistant - Christian Education</strong></p><p><strong>Fixed-Term Part-Time | 25 hours per week (during school terms) There is an option to split the role into two part-time roles of 10 hours/Hospitality and 15 hours/Food Technology.</strong></p><p>Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting learning in practical environments? We are seeking a dedicated <strong>VET Hospitality &amp; Food Technology Assistant</strong> to join our TAS and VET team in a part-time, fixed-term capacity.</p><p>In this hands-on role, you will support teachers by preparing for and assisting in practical lessons in Food Technology and Hospitality. From shopping for ingredients and setting up kitchens to maintaining hygiene standards and managing equipment, your contribution will ensure classes run smoothly and safely.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><ul><li>Purchasing and organising ingredients and resources for practical classes</li><li>Setting up and packing down kitchen workspaces and equipment</li><li>Supporting students and teachers during practical lessons</li><li>Monitoring hygiene and safety practices in line with WHS guidelines</li><li>Maintaining accurate stock records and assisting with stocktakes</li><li>Performing basic administration and clerical tasks</li></ul><p>You’ll be working as part of a collaborative and professional team that values initiative, attention to detail, and a service-oriented attitude.</p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>You are an active Christian involved in a Church community. You’ll bring a practical mindset, strong organisational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures with care. You must be comfortable working in a food preparation environment, have good interpersonal communication skills and have a current working with children check. You will need a registered/insured vehicle as some travel is required to purchase supplies/equipment.
