The College is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Head of Faculty – Religious Education in a full-time (1.0FTE) ongoing position.

<p>Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.</p><p>The College is seeking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Head of Faculty – Religious Education to join our team. You will be a part of a vibrant educational community which aims to provide students the opportunity to utilise their talents to make a difference in the community.</p><p>The College is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic experienced Assistant Head of Faculty – Religious Education in a full-time (1.0FTE) ongoing position, commencing as soon as possible. The position of Assistant Head of Faculty carries a teaching load of 0.8 FTE, with 0.2 FTE release time. </p><p><strong>SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p>The successful applicant needs to:</p><ul><li>be an outstanding classroom teacher who models best practice teaching and learning</li><li>have an understanding of Religious Education curriculum across Stages 4-5 and Studies of Religion Stage 6.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><p>The successful applicants will:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate strategic leadership capabilities and have a well-developed understanding of contemporary educational issues and pedagogical approaches related to the faculty and broader school context </li><li>Hold a postgraduate qualification in educational leadership or similar (desirable)</li><li>Hold the appropriate teaching qualifications</li><li>Be accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) to be eligible to teach in NSW</li><li>Have the skills to deliver lessons that stimulate and engage students of all academic abilities</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents</li><li>Have experience leading a team, driving change. </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning</li><li>Be willing to contribute to the Community Contribution Program at the College</li><li>Hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people</li></ul>
