Salary calculated on averaged conditions (generally only required to work during school term time)</li><li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li><li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li><li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li><li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>As a <strong>TAS Assistant (Level 4 LSO)</strong>, you will be an integral member of the school community, you will demonstrate <strong>Good Samaritan Catholic College Hinchinbrook</strong>'s values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community.<br><br>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>purchasing supplies online and in-store: food, textiles, timber and general stores</li><li>storing and rotating goods</li><li>general cleaning of equipment: laundering tea towels and dishcloths, laundering tea towels and aprons (canteen), emptying and cleaning the dishwasher daily, packing away equipment used</li><li>maintaining food storage areas: cleaning fridges/freezers, recording temperatures twice daily, restocking items</li><li>managing storerooms, stocking of general items for TAS classes</li><li>restocking and maintaining first aid kits, providing first aid to students</li><li>equipment preparation for teacher demonstrations</li><li>responding to student and staff requests during class</li><li>organising trades: knives &amp; tool sharpening, refrigeration, sewing machine maintenance and other equipment as required</li><li>processing checklists: general duties, sewing machine, stocktaking, scheduling general maintenance of tools, machinery, oven cleaning etc</li><li>organising of teacher resources, sewing kits, resource boxes for all TAS classes</li><li>organising items for tag and electrical testing annually in June.</li></ul><p>To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate:</p><ul><li>strong communication skills and ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required</li><li>excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines</li><li>experience working in administration based roles</li><li>experience with Compass or the ability to learn new systems</li><li>the ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team</li><li>advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office and Google suite)</li><li>interpersonal skills in working with a range of people</li><li>excellent written and oral communication</li><li>accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>understanding of WHS requirements</li><li>proven ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required</li><li>a willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li><li>a willingness to perform other duties as directed by the Principal.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>Food Safety Supervisors Certificate</li><li>First Aid Certificate.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong><br><br>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
