We take pride in our small school atmosphere, providing personalised attention to our 120 students from Year 3 to Year 12 who travel from Cowra, Bathurst Molong and Orange to attend.<br /><br /><strong>The Position</strong><br />OneSchool Global Orange is looking for a Campus Laboratory Technician to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, offering a 0.2 load (1 day per week). </p><p>In this role you will ensure the efficient and effective operation of a small science laboratory and management of resources and hazardous substances. The Science laboratory assistant will provide operational support to the science teacher.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Stock control of resources.</li><li>Maintaining equipment and materials</li><li>Preparing standard solutions and less complex experiments</li><li>Assisting students and teachers to use catalogue and/or locate books and resource materials.</li><li>Implementing measures for proper storage control and handling or disposal of dangerous or toxic substances.</li><li>Ensure all dangerous goods and hazardous substances are identified and included in the Chemical Register.</li><li>Culturing, preparing for use, and being responsible to the relevant manager for the security of bacterial, viral, or other like substances.</li><li>Ordering supplies and materials in consultation with the teacher</li><li>Within a defined range of context, where the choice of actions is clear, maintaining scientific equipment, materials, and specimens.</li><li>WHS requirements of the science lab are being met, including signage in the laboratory.</li><li>Assisting with design/demonstration of experiments and scientific equipment, as directed.</li><li>Other duties as requested by the science teacher or reporting manager.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills & Experience</strong></p><p>We are looking for a passionate and committed technician who brings joy to their work.
