<p>&nbsp;</p><p>Star of the Sea Catholic College is a co-education school with an enrolment of approximately 180 students from Kindergarten to Year 10, situated in George Town, Tasmania.</p><p>Applications are invited from enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidates for the following position:</p><p><strong>Student Wellbeing Officer: 0.26 FTE&nbsp;</strong><br><strong>(11.5 hours per week) Term Time only</strong><br><strong>Limited Tenure&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Days negotiable</strong><br><strong>Commencing March 2025 – 18 December 2026&nbsp;</strong></p><p>In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our students.&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Providing individual counseling and support to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges.<br>Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external support services to ensure a comprehensive approach to student wellbeing.</li><li>Acting as a trusted mentor and advocate for students, championing their needs and ensuring their voices are heard.</li><li>Assist the Principal in the delivery of wellbeing and pastoral care services for students and members of the school community.</li><li>Assist students and staff to create an environment that promotes the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development and wellbeing of all students.</li></ul><p>To be eligible applicants required to:</p><ul><li>Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.</li><li>Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.</li><li>Have appropriate graduate and/or post graduate qualifications.</li></ul><p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.
