The College is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Facilities Manager who will provide strategic leadership and operational management of St Vincents College properties, buildings, and infrastructure assets.

The College was founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1858 and is now under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. </p><p>The College fosters creativity, discernment and leadership in the development of students to be courageous women of action. It is expected that the successful applicant will support the Catholic ethos of the College.</p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><p><i>The Facilities Manager is responsible for:</i></p><ul><li>Ensuring strategic maintenance and asset planning, scheduling and management systems and practices are in place for all key assets. </li><li>Ensuring the smooth operations of the Maintenance Department including functions and events.</li><li>Develop systematic tools, work plans, contract scopes and preventative maintenance plans for the maintenance team to manage.</li><li>Manage subcontractor compliance, administration, and document management; develop policies and procedures.</li><li>Delivering minor works projects and working closely with the Masterplan Project Manager on the co-ordination and strategic / operational oversight of key capital projects </li><li>Assist Business Manager with monthly Property and Maintenance Reports<strong> </strong></li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Experience and Skills</strong></p><p><i>The successful candidate will possess the following:</i></p><ul><li>Proven Facilities and Maintenance management experience, preferably within an educational/public sector environment.</li><li>Experience with implementation and delivery of maintenance planning and management, policies, asset management plans, risk and asset registers.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the supervision of building works, capital projects, contractor management, and contract preparation/administration (exposure to heritage properties is desirable).</li><li>High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate and work effectively with key stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, staff, students , parents and visitors </li><li>Ability to lead a team and ensure their optimum engagement and safety at work.</li><li>Excellent demonstrated organisation of tasks and ability to prioritise effectively.</li><li>High-level initiative and flexibility, with the ability to respond to the changing demands of the position.</li><li>Intermediate computer skills including Office suite and computerised maintenance management systems</li><li>Working knowledge of New South Wales building codes and regulations, Australia Standards, and WH&S legislation.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.</li><li>Current Full NSW drivers licence and Working with Children Check</li></ul><p><i>St Vincent’s College is committed to the safety of young people.
