Within the allocated work time other responsibilities may be requested to support the maintenance work of the precinct schools.</p><p>To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the ability to:</p><ul><li>provide safe and timely transport services for the College community</li><li>obey all relevant legislation, policies and procedures</li><li>perform pre-trip safety maintenance checks and documents in line with vehicle inspection procedures</li><li>identify any defects and report them for maintenance or repairs</li><li>ensure the school buses are in good operating and roadworthy condition at all times</li><li>perform minor maintenance duties</li><li>report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations</li><li>pick up, drop off and collect students under the assigned transport schedule</li><li>ensure the safety of students/passengers.</li></ul><p>Relevant Information</p><ul><li><strong>hours of work:</strong> 40 hours per fortnight</li><li>ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and other staff</li><li>ability to understand and follow rules, oral and written instructions, and regulations</li><li>awareness of Workplace Health &amp; Safety policies &amp; procedures</li><li>minimum MR class licence</li><li>sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects</li><li>this type of work requires sitting for long periods and requires intense concentration in all driving conditions</li><li><i><strong>sufficient manual dexterity and/or mobility to grasp and/or manipulate objects, operate mechanical office and classroom equipment and move about the work area.
