Saint Yon Trade Training Centre, incorporated within the College, is a high quality training facility offering specialised vocational training to senior students.</p><p>Teaching/training staff assist the Principal and the Head of Trade Training in meeting the educational, workplace training and pastoral needs and requirements of students. The role is focused on delivering high quality, personalised student learning experiences via both face to face and /or online learning. The applicant will be responsible for supporting and mentoring a group of vocationally-focussed students.<br><br><strong>Position Highlights</strong><br><br>The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.<br><br>This <strong>full-time</strong> role is scheduled to commence on <strong>Tuesday, 29 April 2025, </strong>with the flexibility to negotiate a later start if required. Base salary ranges from $87,550 to $125,763</li><li>an additional coordinator allowance on top of your base salary</li><li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li><li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li><li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li><li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>As the <strong>Head of Saint Yon Trade Training Centre</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.</p><p>The Head of Saint Yon Trade Training Centre (TTC) will provide leadership in all matters pertaining to the operation of the Trade Training Centre, including, but not limited to program and policy development; assessment, moderation and reporting; program support; teacher induction and support; planning, provision, supervision and maintenance of the centre's plant and operation and industry liaison.</p><p>As a member of the College Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible to the Principal for the leadership of the College's Saint Yon Trade Training Centre, and for the delivery of Vocational Education and Training at the College.</p><p>For 2025 the Trade Centre will be delivering courses in Automotive, Electrotechnology, Construction, Human Services, Business Services, Retail, Hospitality, Information & Digital Technology, Fitness and Plumbing. There are a number of classes for each course running during the morning and afternoon sessions, five days a week - working hours will be negotiated.</p><p>The Head of TTC is expected to manage students from LaSalle as well as students from feeder colleges in their VET pathways.<br><br>To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p><ul><li>create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students</li><li>utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li><li>employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback</li><li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li><li>demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being</li><li>integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria:-</strong></p><ul><li>range of relevant professional experiences over at least five years, including a strong background in vocational education</li><li>ability to manage the VET pattern of study of students who are completing School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeship (SBAT), ATAR or non ATAR pathways</li><li>ability to manage the trade training facility, including management of budgets for the effective operation of the Trade Training Centre</li><li>experience leading a team</li><li>proven effectiveness as a leader and supervisor in a complex administrative environment, including the capacity to develop effective office systems and the ability to simultaneously manage a range of issues</li><li>demonstrated ability to promote collaborative effort among staff and a willingness to involve them in planning processes</li><li>proven abilities in delegation, consultation, staff recruitment and development as well as other personal/professional qualities and skills required for effective leadership in a Catholic community</li><li>excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for developing relationships with key stakeholders.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong><br><br>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
