We invite applications from suitably qualified finance professionals to join the De La Salle College Malvern community in this fulltime, ongoing position.

<p>The Assistant Business Manager is vital to the efficient and smooth running of the College and requires a person with demonstrated business acumen and expertise in financial management and accounting and customer service management. The person in this position is required to perform many and varied tasks which will involve discretion and confidentiality and by its very nature this role involves the management of a team as well as sustained periods of independent work.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Your primary responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Produce accurate and timely financial statements as well as the appropriate analysis for the Business Manager, Principal and MACS. </li><li>Play an active role in developing and improving financial operational policies and systems using contemporary business practices and implementing any changes.</li><li>Mentor, support and manage the members of the Finance Team on a day-to-day basis, to make certain effective and efficient financial management and reporting practices are in place at all times.</li><li>Ensure that the Finance team provides a positive, customer service focused approach to all dealings with every College stakeholder.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills/Experience Required</strong></p><p>We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:</p><ul><li>Degree level qualification in Accounting with accounting and management experience at a senior level in a medium or large corporation/enterprise and a sound understanding of accounting principles.</li><li>Certified Practising Account (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) – advantageous.</li><li>Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to produce high level reports.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the preparation of annual and periodic financial statements and reports, annual budget formulation and cash flow projections for a medium to large organisation, minimum five years.</li><li>Distinguishable management skills with demonstrated capability to effectively manage in a team environment.</li><li>Experience working in an educational environment – desirable but not essential.</li><li>Experience in using Synergetic computer system – desirable but not essential.</li></ul><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><p>At De La Salle College Malvern, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount.
