The Junior School Curriculum Support Officer is the College’s main support for teachers and students in the Junior School and is accountable to the Director of the Junior School.

<p>The Junior School Curriculum Support Officer is responsible for the following tasks:<br /> </p><ul><li>Assist student learning, where some discretion and judgement is involved, including evaluating and assessing student needs under the guidance of the classroom teacher. </li><li>Experience in using the MultiLit suite is preferred, but not essential. </li><li>Carry out a wide variety of tasks associated with classroom learning experiences (e.g. assisting teachers in preparing, implementing and supervising classrooms and/or intervention programs).</li><li>Apply personal knowledge and initiative to suggest modifications to educational programs to meet the learning needs of specific students, subject to approval of the teacher.</li><li>Supervise and support students, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups in accordance with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL) as required.</li><li> Participate in the evaluation of programs and student involvement and document student progress/behaviour in SEQTA, as directed.</li><li>Provide yard duty support to teachers in accordance with school procedures.</li><li>Assist classroom teachers with identifying student learning/behaviour challenges.</li><li>Assist teachers with the care of students on excursions, sports days/activities and other classroom and associated school/educational activities.</li><li>Assist with the physical requirements of students requiring special care.</li><li>Provide general assistance of a supportive nature to teachers when required.</li><li>Actively participate in school activities/events, staff/team meetings, required training and/or professional development and professional reviews.</li><li>Support in the Junior School Administration Office, as required.</li><li>Perform any other duties as required from time to time by the College Principal.</li></ul><p><strong>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</strong></p><ul><li>The work pattern for this role is Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 3:30pm (negotiable upon commencement with the Director of the Junior School). </li><li>The annual salary range for a Grade 3 is $73,425 to $78,445, pro rata at 0.80FTE, based on weeks worked. </li><li>This is a replacement appointment for Term 2 for Weeks 1 to the end of Week 8.</li><li>The College welcomes all enquiries regarding this exciting opportunity in a supportive environment.</li><li><strong>Applications close 9am, Week 6, Tuesday 4 March 2025</strong>.</li></ul><p>St Dominic’s Priory College is a Catholic College educating girls in the Dominican tradition.
