<p><strong>Coordinator of Sport </strong></p><p><strong>A permanent teacher of PDHPE with a temporary appointment of Co-ordinator of sport for 2025   - 2 points</strong></p><p>2 point paid and additional release from teaching</p><p><strong>The College Community </strong></p><p>Having commenced in 2017 with 86 students across Kindergarten to Year 6, St Luke’s at Marsden Park is a next generation learning community within the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD). As a ‘next generation Catholic Learning Community’ we are designing and establishing the ‘new normal’ for preschool to post school learning in an environment characterised by a flexible, stage based curriculum which nurtures and grows faith-filled, curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world. In 2024 we will have enrolled 1750&#43; students from Kindergarten to Year 12 in addition to 77 children per day in our long day centre. </p><p><strong>Role Outline</strong></p><p>St Luke’s Catholic College is looking to enhance student engagement through representative sports opportunities and Gala days. As such, we seek to appoint a temporary Co-ordinator of Sport for 2025. Recognising that this would be an experienced teacher, we attach this temporary co-ordinator role to a permanent PDHPE teacher role.</p><p>The College is seeking a committed, energetic and experienced Sports Coordinator for 2025. The successful applicant will be highly skilled in coordination of co-curricular and sporting programs within a school setting. The position will include the management of the representative sporting events and the administrative aspects associated with College based programs. The right candidate will liaise with staff, parents, students and external sporting bodies and organisations, to ensure excellent communication and processes. The successful applicant will be a person who has a passion for sport, health and an engaging communication style, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of a K-12 college. More specifically, you will:</p><ul><li>Understand the processes involved in sports administration. </li><li>Be well-organised with excellent time management skills;</li><li>A person who has demonstrated strong attention to detail;</li><li>use highly developed IT skills on a regular basis; </li><li>Be highly relational with the ability to communicate with students, staff and parents;</li><li>Facilitate representative pathways for individuals and teams</li><li>Manage resources including uniforms and equipment;</li><li>Liaise and attend meeting with CEDP personnel;</li><li>personalised pathways for students; and,</li><li>Other duties as deemed necessary by the Principal.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p><ul><li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</li><li>Eligibility to teach in NSW according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)</li><li>Statement of Service </li></ul><p><strong>Interested?</strong></p><p>This position involves working with children.
