Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is seeking a Principal who is an educational leader who inspires excellence, leads with strong faith and vision.

It is an exciting time to join MACS, where we are transforming to bring to life our recently launched strategic plan: MACS 2030: forming lives to enrich the world.</p><p><strong>YOUR ROLE</strong></p><p>As a Principal, you will be inspired to lead a joy-filled community where students, staff, and families can flourish within a Catholic context. Your leadership will enable the vision of the school to be realised, creating an environment where everyone can reach their full potential. The role of the Principal is one of the most important roles across the MACS system, as their faith and educational leadership enables the vision of the school to be realised. This role will work in collaboration with MACS, staff members, local Parish Priest, and the broader School community to achieve the identified goals of the School. </p><p><strong>ABOUT OUR LADY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION</strong></p><p>Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is the sole Catholic primary school in the parish of Our Lady of the immaculate Conception, Sunshine. The school has had a strong Catholic presence in the community for over 100 years with the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart leading the school for 73 years. The school and church share the same site, so students often celebrate Mass with the parish.</p><p>Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception school is committed to providing an education that is driven by Gospel values in an environment that is nurturing and supportive. In the spirit of unity and harmony, staff strive to develop the whole person. Providing an excellent education for all and inspiring all community members to live a Christian way of life.</p><p>A recent building project consisted of constructing a double storey building with 10 new flexible learning areas, student and staff amenities, staff planning rooms, two STEM focussed wet areas with provision for cooking, outdoor learning spaces, a large verandah on the first floor as well as a nature playground incorporating sandpits, a bridge and a gathering space.</p><p><strong>ABOUT THE COMMUNITY</strong></p><p>Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Primary School celebrates a wide cross section of cultures. With many new young families moving into Sunshine the community has changed from a heavy industrial area to one that accommodates working professionals, small business owners and trades people.</p><p>The aim of the school community is to ensure that all children are encouraged to achieve and work to the best of their ability and to feel safe and happy while they are at Our Lady’s. With a collective responsibility for everyone on staff to improve practice, increase knowledge and teach to the needs of the students the school is proud of its achievements. Religious formation is important, and staff are afforded many opportunities to strengthen their personal faith as an expression of their work.</p><p>Parental involvement is always welcomed, actively encouraged and valued. Some of the ways parents are involved may include School Advisory Council, fundraising and excursions.</p><p>Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception school places a strong focus on student and staff well-being and creating a positive, hope filled school culture. These referees will be required to make relevant verbal responses regarding the applicant’s capacity to meet the specific local selection criteria.</li><li>Certified statements of service from current and previous employers are required from applicants who are currently <strong><u>not </u></strong>employed in Victorian Catholic education.</li></ol><p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
