<p><strong>Position Purpose</strong></p><p>The purpose of this role is to assist leaders, teachers and education assistants in schools to effectively support students with disability and diverse learning needs.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Commencement</strong></p><p>The commencement date for this position will be negotiated with the successful applicant. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Essential criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Recognised formal qualifications in the field of education.</li><li>Experience working in schools or with multidisciplinary teams in support of students with disability and diverse learning needs.</li><li>Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in teams.</li><li>Maintain and develop professional learning knowledge, practices and relationships.</li><li>Highly developed skills in the use of technology for a variety of work functions as well as familiarity with a range of assistive technology options that support communication and learning.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.</li><li>Current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake travel including overnight stays to fulfil the requirements of the role.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Desirable criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Recognised formal qualifications in one or more aspects of Special Education.</li><li>Ability to work within a project management framework for the delivery of support.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Conditions of employment</strong></p><ul><li>This is a temporary position for three years </li><li>This role is only available as a secondment for staff already employed within Armidale Catholic Schools.
