De La Salle College Malvern are currently seeking a Teacher of French, commencing Term 2, 2025. This is a fulltime ongoing role and can be combined with the Position of Leadership - Head of Languages role currently being advertised.

This is a fulltime ongoing role and can be combined with the Position of Leadership - Head of Languages role currently being advertised.</p><p>Remuneration will be based on experience, following the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).</p><p>De La Salle College Malvern is an integral part of the faith community of Malvern and Malvern East.  De La Salle College is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). MACS is the employer of employees at De La Salle College Malvern. </p><p>We seek candidates with strong teamwork abilities, effective classroom management skills, and a dedicated commitment to the values of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.</p><p><strong>Job description:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to deliver Units 1 to 4 French curriculum.</li><li>Creating a child-safe environment for students.</li><li>Adhering to the school&#39;s Child Protection Policy and Child Safety Staff Code of Conduct.</li><li>Collaborating with various stakeholders, such as Class/House Mentors, Education Support Team, Year Level/House Coordinators, School Psychologists, and Directors of Students, to monitor student progress and well-being.</li><li>Providing timely marking and feedback to student work.</li><li>Ensuring up-to-date student data management systems.</li><li>Developing and delivering programs that leverage technology to enhance learning.</li><li>Setting and maintaining high expectations for student performance standards.</li><li>Complying with ongoing professional development requirements as per VIT guidelines.</li><li>Identifying personal professional learning needs and participating in the annual Professional Learning Plan process.</li><li>Actively engaging in internal and external professional development to enhance teaching practices.</li><li>Utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively engage students in their learning journey.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills/Experience required:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li><li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li><li>Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.</li><li>An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.</li><li>Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.</li></ul><p><strong>Special Requirements:</strong></p><p>At De La Salle College Malvern, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount. Therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</p><p>The successful applicant must hold a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
