An exciting opportunity exists at Stella Maris School for a suitably qualified Administration Officer to become an active member of our welcoming school community commencing Term 1 -2025, concluding 26 January 2026. Interviews may be held earlier to fill position for a classroom. This part time position maybe negotiated to an ongoing position for suitable applicants.

<p>We invite applications for the position of Administration Officer. The successful applicant will be required to work 2 days per week, Thursday &amp; Friday, between the hours of 8.00am and 4:30pm.</p><p>Recent experience working in a primary school and knowledge of Synergetic would be an advantage.</p><p>Stella Maris School demonstrates a strong Catholic ethos, which is enhanced by the committed relationship between the parish and the school. Stella Maris has 7 single-level classrooms and over 150 students.</p><p><strong>Child Safety</strong><br />Stella Maris has a zero tolerance for child abuse and all adults in our school have a responsibility to care for children and young people, to positively promote their wellbeing and to protect them from any kind of harm or abuse.</p><p><strong>Overview of Role</strong></p><p>The Administration Officer plays a key role within the school office by providing professional and friendly support to staff, parents, students and the wider community.</p><p><strong>Key Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>The ability to work within a team</li><li>Experience in the educational sector</li><li>Familiarity with financial recording using school software </li><li>A high level of competency in I.C.T. experience</li><li>Experience with ICON preferred</li><li>Strong communication and organisation skills</li><li>Confidentiality</li><li>Level 2 First Aid</li><li>Current Working With Children Check<strong> </strong></li></ul><p><strong>Duties included but not limited to:</strong> </p><ul><li>Administer various software programs including ICON, Operoo, Passtab and upload information to the website.</li><li>Publish weekly newsletters, correspondence to parents, booklets, certificates, flyers and other documents as required.</li><li>Attending to student admissions/enrolments and maintaining the enrolment/departure  registers – utilising ICON system is essential. </li><li>Drafting, checking and processing outward correspondence. </li><li>Maintaining class lists, rolls and staff lists etc, using ICON system. </li><li>Maintaining ICON Attendance System </li><li>Manage ordering of supplies and catering for functions</li><li>Receipt payments</li><li>Attending to telephone and counter enquiries. </li><li>Arranging appointments for the Principal, Deputy Principal and other school staff with  parents and students. </li><li>Administer first aid</li></ul><p><strong>Application Procedures</strong></p><p>Applications should be made in writing and forwarded via email to the Principal, Mr Yvan Frederic – <a href="mailto:yfrederic&#64;smbeaumaris.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">yfrederic&#64;smbeaumaris.catholic.edu.au</a> </p><p>Applications should contain the following:</p><p>a.
