Staff employ a balanced approach, blending explicit instruction, high-impact strategies, and inquiry-based learning.</p><p>We are part of Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG) which operates 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and nine Early Learning Centres in ACT and NSW.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong><br> </p><p>The Business Manager provides leadership and support in promoting an environment where Catholic values and practices can flourish. The professionalism, character, vision, and skills of the Business Manager are fundamental to ensuring the viability of the College in an increasingly challenging Commonwealth and State funding environment. The College is committed to equity of access to, and sustained delivery of quality education for all teenagers and young adults, maintain a diverse and wide-spread representation of the broader community. The Business Manager is accountable to the College Principal and reports to the Principal on all matters relating to the Business Manager’s portfolio and maintains a close working relationship with staff members of the College, the wider College community, and Business Partners at CECG.</p><p>The Business Manager works with the College Principal and Leadership Team to achieve the following objectives:</p><ul><li>Provide efficient, transparent, and accurate advice to assist in strategic and operational planning, within the areas of financial, human resources, facilities, governance, and general business management. </li><li>Providing information about current trends and addressing statutory obligations that affect the College.</li><li>Ensures the College's vision is promoted and embraced in a professional manner that reflects the Catholic foundation of the College, the philosophy, and policies of CECG and reflects the College’s commitment to the principles of equity, respect for diversity and inclusion, and the adoption of a strategic approach to community engagement.</li><li>Promote and support the College’s Vision in a positive and comprehensive manner. </li></ul><p>The employment term of this position is from 17 February 2025 to 29 August 2025.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption) </li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave) </li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities </li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration in a relevant field (CPA/CA, accounting, HR and/or Educational Administration); or</li><li>Demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills within a similar role; and</li><li>Hold a current NSW Working With Children (WWCC) registration.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume that addresses the Selection Criteria as outlined in the Position Description.</p><p>CECG is committed to workforce diversity and creating inclusive workplaces.
