There are 22 Flexible Schools throughout Australia who offer a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Enrolled young people may express a broad range of complex education and social needs and flexible schools respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.</p> <p>The purpose of a Flexible School is to provide young people with a varied and holistic set of learning experiences supporting them to identify and pursue an individual transition to adulthood, employment, further education and training and social connectedness.<br> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong><br><i>St Mary’s Flexible School is a registered and accredited Special Assistance School with small class sizes which employs a multidisciplinary team including a youth worker for each class. This full-time position works collaboratively with our Head of Campus at our St Mary’s Flexible Learning School.</p> <p>Our school regularly engages in outdoor education and promotes high community involvement. They have delegated responsibility to develop and maintain learning and social inclusion responses of the campus.
