Our Lady of the Southern Cross (OLSC) is an integral part of the faith community of St Andrew’s Werribee and is one of six parish primary schools. OLSC is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS). We are currently seeking a full - time teacher to commence at the beginning of the 2025 school year.

<p>This position is to commence at the beginning of 2025 school year.  This position for a Year 4 Learning Group.  </p><p>Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment.  The successful applicant must support the philosophy of the school and commit to working as part of a collaborative team with a focus on contemporary practices in a flexible environment.  They will be able to cater effectively for a diverse range of learning needs by implementing differentiated learning experiences that are creative and engaging, use a variety of strategies, encourage the use of technology and challenge the students to be the best they can be.  They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues. </p><p>OLSC teachers are provided with a full day&#39;s planning each week and are released with their team to provide ample time to prepare effectively for their scheduled class time.  For ease of transport we are located right behind the V-Line station that provides fast and convenient travel form both Melbourne and Geelong.  <br /> </p><p>Our Lady of the Southern Cross is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. </p><p>Candidates are asked to demonstrate:</p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications</li><li>A strong commitment to Catholic education;</li><li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues;</li><li>An ability to create an engaging, educational and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students;</li><li>An eagerness to learn;</li><li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.</li></ul><p>Special Requirements:<br /> </p><ul><li>OLSC promotes the safety, well-being and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children;</li><li>The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration;</li><li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred;</li><li>Contact details of two referees including current or most recent Principal </li></ul><p>Please email your resume and cover letter to principal&#64;olscwyn.catholic.edu.au. </p><p>Applications close 4:00pm 13th December, 2024</p>
