Ravenswood are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Learning Support Teacher to work within the Learning Enrichment Department, providing educational support to classroom teachers, and students from K-6. This is a part time role with a 0.6 FTE load, across 4 days per week.

It is a school where staff enjoy a range of benefits that foster health and wellbeing, and students achieve outstanding academic success supported by innovative teaching practices that are underpinned by a whole school approach to Positive Education.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Learning Support Teacher to work within the Learning Enrichment Department, providing educational support to classroom teachers, and students from K-6. This is a part time role with a 0.6 FTE load, across 4 days per week.</p><p>To be successful in securing this position, you will have demonstrated knowledge and skills in learning support encompassing:</p><ul><li>Understanding of student learner variability and how to meet the individual needs of students with learning differences and disabilities.</li><li>Knowledge of current research and best practices in teaching neurodiverse learners and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports.</li><li>Understanding of legal obligations to support students&#39; access to learning programs on the same basis as other students.</li><li>Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering learning support programs, including modifications and adjustments to curriculum and assessments.</li><li>Collaboration with the Learning Enrichment team and classroom teachers to deliver evidence-informed programs and utilise a co-teaching support model of instruction.</li><li>Experience developing Individual Learning Profiles and administering disability provisions for specified assessment tasks.</li><li>Experience communicating with parents and case-managing students identified with additional learning needs, in consultation with classroom teachers.</li></ul><p>Essential Qualifications</p><ul><li>Post-graduate qualifications in Inclusive Education or Special Education or a willingness to pursue such qualifications.</li></ul><p>Strongly desirable but not essential:</p><ul><li>Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.</li></ul><p><strong>To Apply:</strong></p><p>Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.
