<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>Appropriately qualified, experienced and passionate Psychologists, motivated to help shape young minds, empower growth, and foster positive change are encouraged to join our Student Wellbeing Support Services (SWSS) team as a permanent part time (0.4 to 0.5) Psychologist. In this position, you will be providing high quality psychological services to students, to enable them to achieve academic success, psychological health and social and emotional wellbeing. This role includes the provision of assessments, brief as well as substantial therapeutic intervention, counselling and collaboration with all stakeholders, thus contributing to the holistic wellbeing of students through improving engagement, achievement and inclusion by addressing learning, psychosocial and mental health needs of students who are challenged and struggling with their circumstances. You will work in a consultative, resourceful and supportive manner with parents/guardians, teachers, leadership and external health service providers.</p><p>The position will either be classified as Wellbeing Level 4 or Wellbeing Level 5, depending on experience. </p><p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.</p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>As an experienced, passionate and professional Psychologist, you will:</p><ul><li>have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the administration of various Psycho-educational assessment tools where you will be able to conduct and advise on specialist assessments of cognitive, emotional and behavioural needs of students.</li><li>be able to work effectively with students and their families and apply a range of evidence-based interventions and counselling appropriate for different issues and stages of development.</li><li>capacity to maintain confidentiality, discretion and deal respectfully with sensitive student matters and personal information.</li><li>have a sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.</li><li>have highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within SWSS and with a variety of school teams.</li></ul><p>As well as being strongly imbued with and supportive of the ethos of a Catholic college, the successful applicant will demonstrate initiative, curiosity, a strong work ethic and take pride in their work.</p><p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
