We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher’s Aide with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to join our team. The role of the Teacher’s Aide works as part of a holistic team across K-12 to support students who have been identified as having specific learning needs.
<p><strong>Work type:</strong> ongoing full-time<br /><strong>Location:</strong> St John XXIII Catholic College (Primary & Secondary)<br /><strong>Categories:</strong> Teachers Aid</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br />● Support students by implementing learning adjustments, in consultation with the classroom teacher and the diverse learning teacher.<br />● Provide scheduled in-class support within an inclusive learning environment.<br />● Provide physical assistance to students in the areas of mobility, eating, and personal hygiene, both within the school and during off-site activities.<br />● Supervise and support students during scheduled breaks.<br />● Assist with exam/assessment provisions (e.g., reader/writer)<br />● Organise specialist equipment/aids and assistive technology as required.<br />● Attend excursions and outings as required.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br />● Certificate 3 or 4 in Education Support<br />● Ability to use technology in a variety of formats<br />● Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.<br />● Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.<br />● Experience working with students who have a vision impairment would be beneficial.</p><p><strong><u>Please respond to the above selection criteria in your cover letter.</u></strong></p><p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p><p>Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney. </p><p>This position involves working with children.
