We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Diverse Learning Teacher with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to join our team.

<p><strong>Work type:</strong> ongoing full-time<br /><strong>Location:</strong> St John XXIII Catholic College (Secondary)<br /><strong>Categories:</strong> Diverse Learning </p><p>The role of the Diverse Learning Teacher works across 7-12 to support the teaching and learning of students who have been identified as having specific learning needs. They will advocate for and ensure equitable treatment of students with individual learning needs within the classroom.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>● Collaborate with class teachers in designing learning activities and supporting individuals or small groups of students.<br />● Create, implement, and monitor personalised learning plans (PPs) for students with diverse needs, in consultation with all stakeholders.<br />● Design, implement, monitor, and review adjustments as outlined in the student&#39;s personalised plan.<br />● Collaborate with teachers to differentiate learning and assessment tasks.<br />● Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to individual learning styles.<br />● Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet their diverse needs.<br />● Foster the use and implementation of new technologies to support the learning of students with diverse needs.<br />● High level of administrative skills to manage student documentation, analyse student data, and contribute to the collation of documents in line with the NCCD including<br />participation in the moderation process.<br />● Stay informed about and ensure compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)and relevant education standards.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br />● Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.<br />● Bachelor’s degree in Inclusive Education or extensive experience.<br />● Strong understanding of the DDA and how it applies to educational settings.<br />● Knowledge of the NCCD process and its implications for student support and reporting.<br />● Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.<br />● Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.</p><p><strong><u>Please respond to the above selection criteria in your cover letter.</u></strong></p><p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p><p>Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney. </p><p>This position involves working with children.
