Siena College is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Trombone Teacher for small group and private lessons, to commence in Term 1, 2025. This casual position is currently for one day per week (up to 5 hours). Experience teaching across other low brass instruments is essential.

<p>The successful applicant will also be involved in College concerts, workshops and other activities as requested by the Director of Music. Working within the Siena College Music Department, the Trombone Teacher will be part of a team of instrumental specialists, with a key objective of retaining and expanding trombone enrolments, promoting trombone and brass performance opportunities, and contributing to the overall growth of the Instrumental Music program. </p><p>The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate their ability to:</p><ul><li>teach beginner and intermediate trombone students through to VCE Music</li><li>develop students’ musical understanding through the study of repertoire and theory</li><li>support the objectives of the College’s ensemble program</li><li>maintain effective communication and administrative practices</li></ul><p>VIT Teacher Registration or a Working with Children Check and National Police check are required before commencing the position.</p><p>A covering letter supported by the College Application Form, resume, and the names of three referees should be addressed to the Principal and forwarded by email only to the HR Manager, Joanna Wong, at <a href="mailto:hr&#64;siena.vic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">hr&#64;siena.vic.edu.au</a>.</p><p>The College Application form and Role Description are available on the College Website <a href="http://www.siena.vic.edu.au/our-college/employment" rel="nofollow">www.siena.vic.edu.au/our-college/employment</a></p><p><strong>Applications close 4.00pm Thursday 28 November 2024, and interviews will commence as soon as possible.</strong></p><p><i>The Siena College community promotes the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children</i></p><p> </p><p> </p>
