<p>St Mary's Primary School Scone is seeking a Permanent Part Time (0.4FTE) Teacher Librarian to join the team in January 2025. <br><br>St Mary's Primary School, Scone is a small rural community offering a Catholic education for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.<br> Equipped with modern and engaging facilities, St Mary's uses a contemporary approach to learning which is personalised, stimulating and responds to the learning needs, interests and experiences of each student.<br> St Mary's offers an inclusive environment filled with skilled and committed staffing who nurture the social, emotional, physical and spirtual development of all students in our care, the best possible education with rich learning experiences for our students across the curriculum.<br><br><br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5505/position_description_-_cso_-_teacher_librarian_-_primary.pdf"><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></a><br><br>The role of the Teacher Librarian is to<br> </p><ul><li>Provide engaging learning experiences for students<br> </li><li>Manage information and resources<br> </li><li>Support and drive contemporary teaching and learning ensuring that learning in the library is contemporary, inquiry based, rich in thinking and technology<br> </li><li>Work in collaboration with the school’s leadership team and with the CSO Digital Innovation and Learning team to act as a catalyst for change and build teacher capacity to improve student outcomes<br> </li><li>through the use of resource management time:<br> </li><li>to manage the library, facilitate and develop the library space and resources, both physical and digital, supported by the School Officer/Library Assistant<br> </li><li>to collaborate with classroom teachers in developing contemporary teaching to ensure that curriculum is delivered more effectively for the benefit of students<br><br>The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes. The teacher will acknowledge and agree to the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</li></ul>
