<p><strong>Domremy Catholic College Five Dock</strong> <br /><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> Friday, 31 January 2025 <br /><strong>Closing Date: </strong>Monday, 25 November 2024 <br /><strong>Capacity: </strong>Part-Time, Temporary</p> <p dir="ltr">Domremy College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Learning Support Officer for a temporary contract commencing Term 1, 2025. The position will involve 57 hours per fortnight.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The role of Learning Support Officer is to assist in the provision of education and pastoral care for students from Years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities. The Learning Support Officer works collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning. As a member of Domremy College, the role requires a commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools and a willingness to contribute to the faith formation of students.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Key Selection criteria</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The successful candidate will be able to:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">demonstrate experience implementing adjustments for students with a range of diverse learning needs to enhance learning growth across all KLAs</li> <li dir="ltr">collaboratively and collegially work as a member of the Diverse Learning team</li> <li dir="ltr">provide in class support to students who have a mild to moderate cognitive disability</li> <li dir="ltr">collect data and evidence to support NCCD requirements and an understanding of relevant legislation (DDA, DSE)</li> <li dir="ltr">administer one on one and small group interventions to students with a diverse range of learning abilities</li> <li dir="ltr">administer a range of standardised assessments.</li> <li dir="ltr">knowledge of the Quicksmart Program preferred</li> <li dir="ltr">maintain school based data and records upholding confidentiality</li> <li dir="ltr">use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications. into everyday learning and planning.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Formal Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">qualifications and/or experience as a Learning Support Officer/Teacher's Aide is essential.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">You will have attained:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
