<p>Applications are sought for the position of House Coordinator commencing in 2025. This is a three year tenured position from 2025 - 2027, together with an ongoing teaching position.</p><p><strong>Padua College</strong> provides a contemporary Catholic secondary co-education for young people within the regions of the Mornington Peninsula and Western Port Bay. The position is one of leadership of both staff and students in a Catholic school. </p><p>The House Coordinator’s role, with the assistance of the other staff in their House, is to develop within the students a sense of belonging, loyalty and spirit to the House and College, and to care for student needs at the College. <i>‘</i></p><p>Effective pastoral leadership explicitly connects student wellbeing with learning, positive student outcomes and success. At Padua College, the House Coordinator guides and supports staff to ensure that every student’s experience is personal, enabling and formative; ensuring every student’s opportunities for success are maximised. Each House Coordinator is responsible for a House and works closely with the homeroom teachers to provide for the pastoral needs of the students within their group. </p><p>The House Coordinator is a member of the Campus House Coordinator team and reports to the Deputy Principal - Head of Campus under the direction of the Vice Principal – Students.</p><p><strong>MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY</strong></p><p>The House Coordinator’s four major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:</p><ol><li>Guiding and supporting staff and students in their House to create a learning environment and culture that promotes student wellbeing, learning, connectedness, resilience, and spiritual development.</li><li>Providing leadership within the House and College Community.</li><li>Effectively managing student welfare, wellbeing, behaviour management procedures and ensuring the implementation of the eXcel program in the House.</li><li>Supporting and assisting the Deputy Principal - Head of Campus and the Assistant Head of Campus – Student Wellbeing and Growth with the implementation of the Campus’s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct, and any other policies and procedures relating to child safety.</li><li>Performing duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal or the College Improvement Team.</li></ol><p>Teachers are supported by the Learning Leaders, the Assistant Heads of Campus (Learning and Pedagogy), Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus), and the Vice Principal (Learning and Teaching) across the College in the development, implementation, and teaching of the curriculum. </p><p>They are also supported by the House Coordinators, Assistant Heads of Campus (Student Wellbeing and Growth), the Deputy Principals/Directors of Campus (Heads of Campus) and the Vice Principal – Students, in the pastoral care and discipline of students, as well as the smooth and effective management of classes.</p><p> </p><p><strong>SALARY REMUNERATION</strong>: According to the CEMEA 2022, $78,021.00 - $115,737.00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.</p><p><strong>PLUS Position of Leadership allowance: POL 3 $9,439.00 p.a.</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
