<p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>School Service Leader – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander</strong></p><p>Catholic Education Tasmania is a community of thirty-eight schools and colleges serving over 17,000 students, their families and over 2,400 employees across Tasmania.<br>Reporting to the Principal Lead: South you will be responsible for providing specialist on-going instructional support and advice within schools and small regional clusters of schools.</p><p>As School Services Leader – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, you will:</p><ul><li>Support schools in implementing pedagogical models of support and tiered interventions to address the learning needs of students in line with the Insight into Learning approach to teaching and learning.</li><li>Provide in-school support to develop consistent learning and assessment practices that use knowledge of student data to inform teaching and learning.</li><li>Tailor professional learning to assist teachers to improve curriculum, pedagogy and assessment</li><li>Foster connections between schools for collaborative conversations, including engaging with Principals, leadership teams and teachers</li><li>Willingness to travel and work closely with school leaders and teachers on curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.</li></ul><p>Some of the skills and experiences we are looking for are:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated expertise in the area of specialisation.</li><li>Ability to work in a focused and collaborative manner in a school environment to support the improvement of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.</li><li>Ability to work in a changeable environment, meeting the evolving needs of the students, staff, system and schools.</li><li>Competence facilitating adult learning and professional development, demonstrating high level Interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Deep commitment to Implementing evidence-based practice, including High Impact Teaching Practice, Cognitive Load Theory, Knowledge-Rich Curriculum Theory, the Science of Learning and Science of Reading.</li><li>Sound knowledge of legislature in area of specialisation.</li><li>Current driver’s licence.</li></ul><p>Required</p><ul><li>Education degree with teaching experience</li><li>Accreditation C: To teach RE in a Catholic school or willingness to obtain</li><li>Registered to teach in Tasmanian Schools or able to gain registration</li><li>Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)</li></ul><p>Desirable</p><ul><li>Graduate study in area of specialisation or equivalent</li></ul><p>You will join an organisation that is driven by:</p><ul><li>Its vision of Student Focused, Christ Centred, Learning for Life.</li><li>A professional service-oriented network of offices, teams and employees,</li><li>Our desire to provide a comprehensive, quality Catholic school curriculum of the highest standard.</li></ul><p><i>Catholic Education Tasmania are committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe and supportive environment for them.&nbsp; The successful candidate will require satisfactory child safety checks and registrations.</i></p><p><i>We demonstrate our commitment to Reconciliation by encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.</i></p><p>Applications are to be addressed to AJ King and can be submitted via Tasmanian Catholic Education <a href="https://catholic.tas.edu.au/careers">Careers page</a></p><p><strong>Applications Close: 10.00am Monday 25 November 2024.</strong></p><p><br><br>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<a href="https://careers.catholic.tas.edu.au/cw/en/PositionDescriptionDocument/493049/school-service-leader-aboriginal-and-torres-strait-islander">Applicant Information Pack</a></p>
