Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment. </i><br /> </p><p>The College is seeking a <strong>Science Laboratory Assistant</strong> to join our collaborative and innovative Science Faculty in Term 1, 2025. Reporting to the Head of Department - Science, this is a full time (5 days per week) position <strong>working term time only</strong> (38 weeks) supporting the Science Faculty in maintaining laboratory resources, and preparing equipment, chemicals and other resources for practical lessons in a secondary school environment. </p><p>Key Requirements:</p><ul><li>Knowledge of science laboratory protocols.</li><li>Knowledge of chemicals and biological specimens.</li><li>Knowledge of hazardous substance legislation and regulations, particularly as it applies to schools.</li></ul><p>Successful applicants will demonstrate an understanding that this role is not mainstream science lab work but rather a type of work which is unique to secondary school science labs.</p><p>As a school community, Monte places a strong emphasis on collegiality and professional development.
