The successful candidate will be passionate about providing inquiry-based learning and be an engaging and effective classroom practitioner whose knowledge, skills and passion for Stage 6 Modern & Ancient History and Stage 4-5 HSIE will inspire students to engage deeply in this important subject.</p><p><strong>New Graduates are encouraged to apply. </strong></p><p>For further information about this position, please direct your questions to<a href="mailto:jobs@korowal.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow"> <u>jobs@korowal.nsw.edu.au</u></a></p><p><strong>Terms and conditions of employment</strong></p><p>This position is a permanent role of 0.8-1.0 FTE, covered within the NSW Independent Schools (Teaching Staff) MEA Hybrid Model. </p><p><strong>Appointment</strong></p><p>Commencing Term 1, 2025.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified to teach Stage 6 Ancient & Modern History, (ability to teach another KLA, particularly English, would be an advantage).</li><li>Relevant education qualifications including a current NESA accreditation.</li><li>Experience teaching HSIE and/or English in Stages 4 and 5.</li><li>Extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding </li><li>A variety of effective teaching strategies that engage students of varying abilities </li><li>Sound understanding of the learning environments, unit design, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and design of assessment and feedback</li><li>Committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice </li><li>Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning</li></ul>
