<p><strong>Location:</strong> St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park</p><p>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population nearing 1500 students in 2024. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis has finalised its new, modern 7th Stage of building development and offers state-of-the-art learning &amp; specialist KLA facilities.</p><p>A permanent full time position commencing 31 January 2024. The successful applicant will be required to teach Technology and Applied Studies and possibly VET courses.&nbsp; The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.</p><p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p><ul><li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li><li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li><li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li><li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in TAS /or VET.</li><li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li><li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.</li></ul><p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p><ul><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li><li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong organisational skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li></ul><p>DESIRABLE CRITERIA:</p><ul><li>Ability to teach Stage 6 Food&nbsp;Technology and possibly VET Hospitality (Food and Beverage and/or Kitchen Operations and Cookery).</li><li>There is quite a lot of scope in this role - the successful applicant may be able to teach across other TAS areas (including such subjects as Design and Technology and/or other Technology-based courses - dependent on expertise and experience)</li></ul><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated TAS subjects and possibly VET courses/s.</li><li>Level B Accreditation by To Work, Teach, and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li><li>The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p><p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application that asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p><p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p><p><strong>Closing date: 27 November 2024 at 9am</strong></p>
