Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding psychologist to join our dynamic Senior School team. Commencing Term 1, 2025, this position will be based at our Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill. This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week.

<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong></p><p>Our Senior School Psychologists lead the psychological care of Senior School students and work closely with the Senior School Leadership Team. The role is responsible for facilitating and monitoring emotional, behavioural, social and educational counselling for Senior School students and their families as part of a team of psychologists.</p><p>Staff at Cranbrook take an active and enthusiastic part in the full life of the School, including involvement in the School’s co-curricular program requiring work outside normal school hours.</p><p>Cranbrook School staff enjoy a stimulating work environment as part of a team of talented professionals, excellent opportunities for professional development, and attractive remuneration and benefits including onsite parking and daily lunch. </p><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><p>A progressive, enthusiastic and dedicated psychologist, you have a strong understanding of adolescent development and the demonstrated ability to counsel students in support of their social and emotional wellbeing.</p><p>You are an excellent communicator, creative, and are able to work well with students, parents and other staff. You are committed to continual professional development and reflection, and have a genuine interest in the growth of young people.</p><p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p><ul><li>Professional Psychologist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) </li><li>Eligibility for registration with Australian Psychological Society (APS) and other relevant professional bodies</li><li>Master of Psychology or a Master of Teaching (School Counselling) will be highly regarded. Preference given to those with Postgraduate qualifications in Psychology.</li><li>A minimum of four years’ counselling experience in a secondary school context</li><li>Experience working with IB Programmes is highly desirable</li><li>Highly organised, detail-focused, resourceful and inclusive</li><li>Able to communicate and collaborate with people at all levels, with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of age groups</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in using evidence-based practices to effectively inform counselling practice</li><li>Able to take ownership of tasks, demonstrate initiative and produce work of a consistently high standard</li><li>A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident</li><li>Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications</li><li>A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children</li><li>A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.</li></ul><p><strong>CLOSING DATE: 27 November 2024</strong></p><p><strong>ABOUT CRANBROOK SCHOOL</strong></p><p>Cranbrook is an Anglican, independent day and boarding school, Pre-school to Year 12. </p><p>Our vision is to be a world class school which encourages and enables all of our students to explore, enjoy and fulfil their potential.
