The College is seeking a suitably qualified HPE/Maths/Science Teacher for Years 9 Campus, commencing January 2025. The position is a Contract position but would consider ongoing for the right candidate.

<p>The main responsibilities of the position include:</p><ul><li>Provide opportunities for student engagement through a variety of learning experiences where students are encouraged and supported in achieving personal excellence.</li><li>Provide students with a positive role model through their actions as a committed Catholic educator.</li><li>To assist students with individual and group work in accordance with the work requirements outlined in course of studies.</li><li>Assist the Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing and developing curriculum.</li><li>Positively contributing to the St Bernard&#39;s College teaching team</li><li>Participating in extra-curricular programs ; and</li><li>Other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Area Leader’s and Deputy Principal.</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification with current VIT registration and demonstrate the following competencies:</p><ul><li>Experience teaching HPE/Maths/Science Years 9 Campus.</li><li>Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education;</li><li>Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school;</li><li>Experience within a Catholic educational organisation an advantage.</li></ul><p>Please visit the SBC www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about/employment</p><p>Please complete the online application clicking on the &#34;Apply Now&#39; button.</p><p>Applications close 4.00 pm 22 November 2024.</p><p>The College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children and young people.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
