The Head of Humanities at Canberra Girls Grammar School is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality teaching and learning program in the Humanities Faculty.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to ongoing curriculum development, with a focus on improving student learning outcomes and classroom experiences. This role requires an innovative and proactive approach to curriculum design and a compassionate leadership style to inspire a team of professional educators. </p><p>The Humanities Faculty encompasses a range of subjects from Years 7 to 12 including Business, Economics, Geography, Global Studies, History, Legal Studies, and Philosophy. A practitioner of any or a combination of these subjects is welcome to apply for this position.</p><p>As the Head of Faculty, you will manage all elements of the courses offered within your faculty, including junior (MYP and Australian Curriculum) and senior curriculum (BSSS and IBDP), associated administration, and relationships with key stakeholders. Working collaboratively with the Senior School&#39;s Academic and Pastoral Management teams, you will be responsible for driving your faculty&#39;s strategic direction within the framework of the School&#39;s Strategic Design.</p><p>Continuous professional development of the faculty staff, curriculum, and pedagogy are critical components of this role, and the successful candidate will be committed to leading their team to achieve these goals.
