The School is founded in the Anglican tradition, based upon established Christian values.<br /> <br /> <strong>About the role</strong><br /> <br /> The Visual Arts Technical Assistant provides technical support and assistance to the Visual Arts Department.<br /> <br /> The role includes checking, maintaining, and ordering and receiving stock and materials. Checking equipment and assisting in the preparation of materials for classes and exhibitions. The technician will work with classroom teachers to ensure rooms are safe, clean, and presentable.<br /> <br /> A considerable portion of the role includes ordering, receiving, and billing materials through the School's online system which requires timely communication with the Accounts Department. The Technician plays a significant role in preparing for and staging Visual Arts exhibitions and working with the Redlands Art Collection.<br /> <br /> <strong>About you</strong><br /> <br /> The successful applicant will have relevant experience or equivalent arts-based training. They will enjoy working with young people and have a friendly, kind, and courteous disposition.<br /> <br /> The role will require excellent interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of teachers and students and be flexible with scheduling and prioritising tasks in an ever-changing landscape. All tasks will be completed with safe working practices considered.<br /> <br /> Outstanding organisation skills are needed as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. <br /> <br /> Excellent ICT skills are needed for this position.
