Learning Coach - Prep to Year 6 - this FTE 0.8 with 0.2 Teaching (approximately) role with generous working conditions is available for commencement in January 2025. The preferred applicant will have expertise in curriculum and pedagogy with a futuristic approach and desire to inspire, motivate and be passionate about the education of young people.

<p><i><strong>The College continues to grow its reputation as a flourishing environment for children and young people to receive a high-quality education. This FTE 0.8 with 0.2 Teaching (approximately) role with generous working conditions is available for commencement in January 2025.</strong></i></p><p><i><strong>The preferred applicant will have expertise in curriculum and pedagogy with a futuristic approach and desire to inspire, motivate and be passionate about the education of young people.</strong></i></p><p><strong>Only applicants who address the selection criteria (below) will be considered</strong></p><ul><li>  Previous work in a similar role highly regarded</li></ul><p><strong>This role reports to the Head of College and Head of Junior Campus and will:</strong></p><ul><li>Shape contemporary learning &amp; industry connection to create enriching pathways for our young people</li><li>Keep abreast of educational research and trends, and inform teachers of curriculum developments</li><li>Liaise with the Deputy and Head of Junior Campus to identify opportunities and curriculum initiatives across year levels</li><li>Ensure observation and coaching is promoted throughout the College and based on the AITSL standards</li><li>Actively mentor staff in pedagogy and instruction and provide appropriate professional development in this area</li><li>Oversight and management of the College Learning Management System (i.e SEQTA) including monitoring of staff engagement ensuring assessment and feedback is up to date and easy to access</li><li>Use and understanding of the QCCA Planning App is preferable for monitoring the Whole School Curriculum Plan </li><li>Collaborate with Learning Enrichment Coordinator and counterparts on the Middle and Senior Campus to oversee testing programs such as the NAPLAN and PAT – Testing </li><li>Work collaboratively with the Head of Campus -Junior and implement curriculum initiatives and current educational directions with staff, empowering teachers to be curriculum designers and risk takers</li><li>Lead the selection and implementation of the College agreed pedagogical framework(s) in the Junior Campus in conjunction with the Deputy and Head of Campus.  </li><li>Assume the role of Acting Head of Campus – Junior as required</li><li>Be an active member of a Christian Church.</li><li>Collaborate to innovate and develop programs for Gifted and Talented students. </li></ul><p><strong>A detailed Role Description can be located on the Prince of Peace website via: </strong><a href="https://www.princeofpeace.qld.edu.au/discover-us/employment-opportunities/" rel="nofollow"><strong>https://www.princeofpeace.qld.edu.au/discover-us/employment-opportunities/</strong></a></p><p><strong>The following selection criteria, which can also be found in the Role Description, must be addressed by all applicants:</strong><br /> <br />Must have at least three years in a leadership role within a P to Year 6 setting or other environment where these skills are displayed</p><ol><li>Possess a proven track record of developing students and leading teachers</li><li>Proven experience as an innovative Lead educator, specifically in the areas of curriculum, contemporary learning, pedagogical leadership and pastoral care</li><li>Build a positive culture of academic excellence through successful collaboration</li><li>Registered with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)</li><li>Post Graduate Studies preferred or a commitment to gaining these.</li></ol><p><i><strong>Enquiries to the Head of Campus-Junior regarding this role are welcome and can be made by phoning the College on 07 3872 5705 from 12th November 2024 </strong></i></p>
