St Joseph's Primary School, Charlestown is seeking a Permanent Part Time (0.75FTE) Teacher Librarian to join the team in January 2025. 

<p>St Joseph's Primary School, Charlestown&nbsp;is seeking a Permanent Part Time (0.75FTE) Teacher Librarian to join the team in January 2025.<br>The successful applicant would work a two week rotating roster, 4 days in week 1 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and week 2 would be 3.5 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and a half day on the Thursday).&nbsp;<br><br>St Joseph's Primary School, Charlestown aims to provide quality Catholic education by creating a learning community committed to ensuring every child is given the opportunity to achieve their very best within the classroom.<br>The school’s unique lush bush setting provides a stimulating environment for children to learn and play and gives them the opportunity to develop an awareness and appreciation of the environment.<br>The school is purpose-built to facilitate team teaching and gives teachers the opportunity to work collaboratively in their planning and delivery of learning.<br>The recent refurbishment of existing facilities means the school community is equipped with modern and engaging learning environments to allow the delivery of a comprehensive curriculum.<br><br><br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5505/position_description_-_cso_-_teacher_librarian_-_primary.pdf"><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></a><br><br>The role of the Teacher Librarian is to<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Provide engaging learning experiences for students<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Manage information and resources<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Support and drive contemporary teaching and learning ensuring that learning in the library is contemporary, inquiry based, rich in thinking and technology<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Work in collaboration with the school’s leadership team and with the CSO Digital Innovation and Learning team to act as a catalyst for change and build teacher capacity to improve student outcomes<br>&nbsp;</li><li>through the use of resource management time:<br>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>to manage the library, facilitate and develop the library space and resources, both physical and digital, supported by the School Officer/Library Assistant<br>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>to collaborate with classroom teachers in developing contemporary teaching to ensure that curriculum is delivered more effectively for the benefit of students<br>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li><br><br>The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes.&nbsp; The teacher will acknowledge and agree to the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</li></ul>
