St Mark's is seeking a committed, energetic teacher to join our staff in 2025 in an ongoing position, with the opportunity to take on a leadership role. (Class level and leadership role will be determined based on the skills and experiences of the successful candidate)

<p><strong><u>SELECTION CRITERIA:</u></strong><br /> </p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>• Appropriate qualification to teach in a primary school</p><p>• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School or a willingness to undertake accreditation</p><p>• VIT Registration</p><p>• Level 2 First Aid preferable</p><p><strong>Personal Qualities/Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Hardworking, fun and energetic with a joyful and positive commitment to all aspects of school life</li><li>Ability to build relationships with all members of the community, communicate effectively, solve problems, think creatively and work collaboratively</li><li>A strong commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education</li><li>Sound classroom management skills</li><li>Current knowledge and competency in using technology to engage students and provide learning opportunities which enables them to collaborate, communicate, connect and learn collectively online</li><li>Commitment to school and community events and activities through attendance, organisation and support</li><li>Ability to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all, in line with the current child safe standards</li><li>Excellent organisational skills, including thorough record keeping and detailed planning and assessment documents</li><li>A passion for teaching children and a sound knowledge of the current Victorian Curriculum</li><li>Confident implementation of contemporary pedagogy with an ability to plan and teach using exiplcit teaching methods and inquiry based learning</li><li>Ability to use student data to tailor curriculum to meet the individual needs of students</li><li>Ability to be confidential, responsive and sensitive to issues raised by staff, students and families</li><li>Excellent leadership skills (if applying for a leadership position)</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p>
