Montgrove currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Secondary. We are seeking a full time permanent Secondary Teacher, to take on the role of Head of Secondary on a 3 year leadership term, 0.5 time allocation and C02 Allowance.

<p>Montgrove currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Secondary. A member of the School Executive team, the Head of Secondary is responsible for the organisational aspects of the day-to-day running of the Secondary School and enrich the wellbeing and pastoral care of the Secondary students.  Working collaboratively with the teaching staff to enable the delivery of innovative learning programs, the Head of Secondary will provide strong academic leadership and sensitive pastoral care of students and colleagues. </p><p>We are seeking a full time permanent Secondary Teacher, to take on the role of Head of Secondary with a time allocation of 0.5, and C02 allowance. This leadership role will commence from Term 1, 2025 for a three-year maximum term contract. </p><p>Reporting directly to the Principal, the Head of Secondary will have key responsibilities that include:</p><ul><li>Day-to-day management and oversight of the Secondary School</li><li>Providing pastoral care to girls to support wellbeing and in managing behaviour and resolving conflict</li><li>Collaborate with the Principal to set strategic vision and to determine implementation</li><li>Working collaboratively to enhance curriculum delivery and student learning </li><li>Working collaboratively to nurture, grow and support staff</li><li>Proactively support parents</li><li>Build trust through diplomatic and confidential interactions with students, teachers and the school community</li></ul><p>To be successful in this role, you need to confidently demonstrate the following key skills and experience: </p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience in a teaching role with the ability to provide leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain positive relationships within the school community. </li><li>Prior experience contributing to educational outcomes within the Secondary School</li><li>Capacity to support the Principal to effectively set the schools strategic vision and manage effectively human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality school outcomes. </li><li>Understanding of policies and compliance requirements for the professional development requirements of teachers.</li><li>Understanding of and support for the vision, mission, values and ethos of the College </li><li>Prior management experience in the education sector would be ideal </li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Highly developed organisational skills, attention to detail, time management and professional discretion.</li></ul><p> </p>
