Teachers of other subject areas who are interested in working at Ballarat Clarendon College are also encouraged to apply. <i><strong>Salary offered will be commensurate with the successful applicant's skills, qualifications and experience and will be based on level 1-13 of the Ballarat Clarendon College Enterprise Agreement Teaching Scale ($84,071 - $126,114).</strong></i></p><p><strong>GENERAL INFORMATION</strong></p><p><strong>Ballarat Clarendon College</strong></p><p>Ballarat Clarendon College is a co-educational school for day and boarding students. It is based in Ballarat, a regional city in the heart of Victoria, just over an hour's drive from Melbourne, with a population of around 120,000 people. Approximately 2,000 students attend the school, from 3-year-old Early Learning to Year 12.</p><p>At Ballarat Clarendon College, we value diversity, embrace difference and nurture a connected, safe and respectful community. We can guide successful applicants through this process.</p><p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Appropriate tertiary qualifications</li><li>Strong curriculum understanding, including the Child Safe Standards</li><li>Ability to effectively plan and design lessons</li><li>Commitment to and understanding of the use of a range of assessment tools and techniques</li><li>Sophisticated knowledge of subject curriculum, study designs and criteria</li><li>Proven ability to provide feedback to students</li><li>Solid understanding of how to analyse data in relation to student progress and teaching effectiveness.</li><li>Commitment to continuous improvement in and out of the classroom</li><li>Proven ability to manage time and conflicting priorities effectively</li><li>Ability to communicate and interact with all Ballarat Clarendon College community members positively and appropriately</li><li>Previous experience working within a team environment with a focus on success and outcomes</li><li>Proficient user of information technology.</li></ul><p><strong>Special requirements</strong></p><p>Must be able to obtain, valid Australian Work Rights.
